MEET THE ARTIST

Miami-based Ceramicist, Debora Nascimento has been working with ceramics for 9 years and has taught Creative Arts in studios State-wide. Debora Nascimento focuses on the spontaneity of the creative process. Most of her ceramic pieces are thrown on the wheel and effortlessly done so. Centering a ball of clay on the wheel reminds her to center herself, urging her to slow down and be present with her craft. Using clay as a medium has helped Debora connect with others and has inspired her to teach the craft as well. Debora adds poetry to her art and a bit of mysticism with her Tarot Card Vase Collection. Her work is solely based on intuition and she lets her heart guide her in the act of creating. Debora Nascimento teaches wheel throwing and hand-building classes out of her own studio in Coral Gables.
